About Todd McKellips Executive Director For The Washington Tiny House Association
Mr. McKellips is a social entrepreneur and Washington native who has become a local advocate for affordable housing focused on ending homelessness. Mr. McKellips volunteers his time as the Executive Director for the Washington Tiny House Association advocating for sustainable housing for the undeserved.
Todd has been working tirelessly since 2010 on legalizing more affordable housing solutions. “The acquisition of Seattle Tiny Homes is a momentous occasion in our efforts on solving the housing crisis in Washington.
We have spent the last five years working with the local jurisdictions and the legislature including Senator Hans Zeiger on SB 5383 on making a pathway for legalization.
My immediate goal is to partner with local cities like Tacoma, Olympia and Seattle to develop permanent Tiny Home communities. We intend to hire and mentor homeless individuals in partnership with local non-profits to create a sustainable pathway into home ownership. We intend to develop affordable, even high-end luxury tiny houses, manufactured homes even larger than 400 square feet as well as creative container housing. Over the next few months, we will be focused on forming a board of amazing world changers and funding a facility to build our model homes.”
