Linda Spivey- I’ve been interested in tiny homes for many years. I read Dee Williams’ book years ago and was fascinated by the thought of living a life that isn‘t dictated by what others deem as approprate. I have watched countless tiny home shows, read numerous books, looked at many tiny home plans, etc.
I have been a teacher and counselor for most of my working life. I’ve worked remotely helping student teachers find placements around the U.S. and out of the country (Japan, Germany, Portugal, Italy…just to name a few). I’ve trained supervisors, remotely, who support those student teachers throughout their placement. I’ve worked as lead faculty in a counseling graduate program. I’ve taught all grades from kindergarten through college. I’ve given up that path to do something in my other life passion area…houses.
As you will also have noticed, photography and dogs are both loves as well.
You can check out more of my work, as well as my canine section at my website (where I use my photographer name: Linda Maveri…..Lindamaveri.com
I live on 20 acres, in a small house (not a tiny house) that I designed. I tried to have a tiny house on the property, but at this time, our area does not allow tiny homes on wheels. During the Online Global Tiny House Conference, I was so glad to hear all the positive forward thinking plans ahead for tiny homes, and the many areas that are coming around to see the value of allowing tiny homes to become the norm.
I would love to be a part of helping people find the freedom that comes with owning less, and living large by going tiny. I would be happy to provide any additional information that you’d be interested in seeing.
