How did the meeting go on Jan 12? What did the staff present from survey results? We are curious.
Thank you,

Hi Dick, The January meeting was with the Housing Advisory Commission (HAC). The meeting was intended for the staff to update the HAC on the results of the 3 public meetings in December. This meeting went very well. The staff reported that the public was in favor of tiny homes on wheels as both ADUs and primary housing, among other findings. The HAC was receptive to this information. There are a few details that still need to be worked out for the ordinance(s). A sticking point in California is that different rules may apply in the coastal zone. The next step is reporting to the Planning Commission, which is another non-elected advisory commission which controls what can be built in Santa Cruz County. Best regards, Jenifer Levini
