Welcome Derek And Travis Huegel
We are pleased to announce that founders Derek and Travis Huegel with Wolf Industries have joined Tiny House Alliance USA as a commercial member.
Wolf Industries is located in Battleground, Washington state and they are an approved builder with Labor & Industries. In the state of Washington, if a new tiny house is built in a factory, or somewhere else – and then moved to where you will use it, an L&I insignia is required. This includes out-of-state builders that transport into Washington state. Washington State L & I are in charge of the inspection and plan review process, though they do allow 3rd- party professionals to approve plans for the state of Wa.
About Wolf Industries
With the deterioration of the housing market in the United States, people are avoiding over-sized, luxurious homes and instead are opting for “less is more” with tiny homes.
So many have thrived living in them, and they can be incredibly beautiful and space-saving. Many small prefab home models include all the comforts of a large home but on a smaller scale – including a large discount in ownership.
As these micro-dwellings continue to be adopted, they continue to be re-purposed.
Wolf Industries Has 6 Models To Choose From
Take it a step further by customizing to make it your own! We start with high-end inclusions like granite or quartz countertops, a tankless water heater, and air conditioning. Then add upgrades like appliances, French doors, or crown molding, and you’ve created your own personalized tiny home. You can also add on Permitting and Delivery & Setup to create a one-stop-shop project!
The price you see here are for the tiny house itself, not including appliances, decks, add-ons or upgrades, permitting, or delivery & setup/site work costs. Each project has 3 phases – Permitting, Production, and Site work/Delivery & Setup. A quote/contract has each phase priced out separately and then a total project cost, because each site and project are different. Visit our Process Page to learn more about each phase and starting fees for these items.

The Wolf Industries Permitting Process
Permitting a project is daunting and not for the faint of heart. Filling out all the forms, communicating back and forth with the city, ordering inspections…it can be a lot for someone, and we understand that. That’s why we have a trained team of experts on hand to guide you through the process. You can hire the Wolf Industries Permitting Team to take on this phase of your project for you. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
The cost to hire us as your Permit Specialist is ≈$2,000 – $5,000, which would be the 1st payment in our payment process. The permit service fee not only hires us to apply for your permits but is also the deposit that holds your spot in the production line (it does not cover the cost of the permits themselves). The base permit service fee includes applying for permits for the following services:
- Building Permit
- Electrical Permit
- Health Department Plan
- Tree Protection Plan
- Plumbing Permit
- Mechanical Permit
- Site-Plan Drawing
- Stormwater Plan
- Erosion Plan
- Full Prep And Submission
Each project is a little bit different and requires a specialized plan based on the jurisdiction and the site needs.
Delivery And Set Up
For an additional fee, Wolf Industries can handle the delivery and set up.
Wolf Industries In The News
”Looking ahead, Derek said that they are excited to continue the exhilarating ride of business ownership. They are currently in the process of developing a couple pieces of land into “cottage clusters” and they are looking to hire more people to help fuel growth. They are also looking for developers that are interested in building their own projects with cottages and recently submitted a larger three-bedroom, two-bath unit to the state for plan approval.”
”Wolf Industries builds their products in a factory away from outside elements, so everything is protected and secure. They follow the same building standards as regular “stick-built” homes and the team handles the whole process, giving people a turnkey home that’s ready to go. The company employs three in-house permit specialists, a field team that works with delivery, on-site preparation and setup. They have six models that are pre-approved with the state labor and industries department in Oregon and Washington. ”
‘It’s Just Perfect For Me’: Tiny Homes In Clark County Helping People Get Off The Streets
VANCOUVER, Wash. — The rumbling of passing cargo trains filled a tiny home neighborhood on the west side of Vancouver off Lakeshore Avenue Wednesday morning.
Fruit Valley Terrace is Clark County’s first tiny home rental community built for people transitioning out of homelessness.
“The nice part is everyone has a unique little area to create and make their own,” said Derek Huegel, who runs Wolf Industries, the company that builds the 10-foot by 30-foot homes. “You feel like a normal citizen living in one of these houses.”
